ABOUT

About Us

Hear Our Story

Founded in 1996, Desert Voices Oral Learning Center emerged from a group of parents whose children had hearing loss and who were committed to giving them access to spoken language as a pathway to broader educational and social opportunities. From the beginning, the program offered a structured, language-rich curriculum with an exceptional student-to-teacher ratio of just two to three children per instructor.

Today, Desert Voices continues this mission by serving families with children from infancy through age five or six, focusing on developing the oral language skills necessary to understand and use spoken language confidently. The ultimate goal is to prepare each child to successfully transition into mainstream classrooms alongside their hearing peers at the school of their family's choice—an outcome that depends on consistent access to quality hearing healthcare and appropriate hearing technology.

Committed to supporting hearing health and communication development, Desert Voices opened an audiology clinic on campus in August of 2025, serving not only the Desert Voices students, but the larger pediatric community. Desert Voices is thrilled to support more families in their journey to better hearing with compassionate, comprehensive services at a convenient Phoenix location.

We can’t wait to see how we can help you and your family!

About Us

Inside Our Clinic

Desert Voices is dedicated to ensuring every child has consistent access to sound. Our audiology program provides evaluations, device programming, cochlear implant support, and more—empowering families every step of the way.

Our clinic was purpose-built for children. We provide a calm, colorful testing environment to equipment sized for the smallest ears. We take the time to walk families through every result, answer every question, and coordinate directly with your child's teachers, speech-language pathologists, and pediatrician.

Whether it's a first evaluation or a routine hearing aid check, you'll never feel rushed and you'll never feel alone in the process. We’re proud to provide pediatric audiology in Phoenix!
